Birdsall picks new COO
John Wuestneck has been promoted to chief operating officer of Birdsall Services Group (BSG), Wall.
Wuestneck joined the firm in 1987 and was named president of BSG-LGA in 1998. he is a registered professional engineer and professional planner. he is a member of the New Jersey Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, Association of Project Managers, New Jersey Section of the American Water Works Association and the Society of Military Engineers.
Howell woman honored
Debra Young of Howell, vice president/creative director copy for New York-based Wishbone, was honored as an industry rising star by the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association at its annual Woman of the Year award luncheon.
HBA Rising Stars are professionals in various sectors of the health-care industry, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, advertising, public relations, medical education, scientific discovery, clinical development and market research.

Barbershop opens doors
Darlene Lombard has opened Darlene’s Barber Shop at 575 N. Main St., Barnegat. the shop, with operators Dennis Foy and Naomi Estrada, offers a variety of specialty cuts and services.
Darlene’s is open from 12:30 to 7 p.m. Mondays, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
New owners for Gulf station
The Gulf of Port Monmouth, 412 Route 36, Middletown, is under new ownership. the new owners are Frank Maglio and Angelo Garcia.
The station hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays. the mechanic garage is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.
Snap Fitness changes hands
Snap Fitness located in the ShopRite Plaza, Aberdeen, is under new ownership. Artie Hirsch and Brian Lillianthal are new owners of the health and fitness center that is located at 318 Lloyd Road, Aberdeen.
The club is equipped with cardio and strength-training equipment. Members receive a free fitness assessment with a personal trainer and free instruction and a workout plan. a personal Web page provides access to an online training center where workouts can be created, modified and tracked and an online nutrition and meal planning program that recommends daily caloric intake and menus based on personal goals and preferences.
