10 points!! A gift for someone just leaving for the military?
i want to give someone a little gift before he leaves for the military. this is is first time so he has to go to boot camp and training first.
are they allowed to have personal items with them while they are in boot camp and training? any suggestions of a type of gift?? its a gift for my boyfriend.
a gift like something he will always have when he leaves. like a meaningful gift that he would look at and remember.
your photo in neck wear so that you ride his heart
He wont be able to have anything that he can have and hold in boot camp other then a picture. After boot camp you may get hIM something else but for boot camp, a nice picture would make it better for him, im sure.
Just a note he wont be able to wear any jewelry — including chains or anything else while in boot camp. After boot camp hand AIT he can.
im not sure about what they are or arnt allowed to have but i would get him a tattoo… no matter what he will allways have it with him and there is no way they can take it away… but dont get him something totally outrageous like your name… but something subtle like your zodiac sign… its small, simple, and meaningful… thats what i got my brother before he left but i got him a full armband… it was 160 but it was nice… the zodiac sign shoud be about 50 bucks…
When I went to boot camp, the only thing that I had that they allowed me to keep were the running shoes that I was wearing. Nothing else was allowed. if your boyfriend shows up without running shoes, they'll make him buy a cheap pair from the PX. He's going to do a lot of running so a really good pair of running shoes helps.
The only jewelry that he'll be allowed to wear is a wedding ring and anything else personal like a watch or wallet has to be kept locked up in his foot locker and they never see the light of day again until graduation. the choices are really limited.
A good picture of you signed with your love for him, will make Boot camp a little less stressful for him.
