What prompted you to start your own business? I have a passion for living a healthy and active lifestyle. I believe that everyone can achieve their health and fitness goals, and I am here to show people how to achieve the best health of their lives.

What is your educational and career background? I have studied through the American Council on Exercise to obtain my personal training certification. I have spent my entire life competing in various sports and learning the skills needed to excel in a wide range of sports and activities. Also formerly suffering from childhood obesity myself, and having a family trend of obesity, I have made it my focus to help fight this disease by giving people the knowledge and motivation required to lose weight and get in the best shape of their lives.

How much research did you do before starting your business? I have spent countless hours studying physiology, anatomy, sports science, weight loss and specific training techniques to ensure success with all of my clients.

What were the most helpful sources, including websites? many of the local business owners have given me support along the way, most notably Fleet Feet Sports, Esp Outdoors, and Dent Pro automotive refinishing.

When were you the most discouraged? Starting a new business is a lot of work, but the reward of being able to help in the way that gives the best client experience makes all the hard work seem easy.

What company or individual do you admire?I look up to companies that give back to their community and provide great customer service to all of their clients.

What will make your business stand out from competitors?I provide one-on-one personal training sessions, along with small setting boot camps that provide not only great workouts, but by keeping the classes small I am able to provide background on how to do the exercises correctly, and how to use what we learned in the classes in the future to maintain excellent health for a lifetime. It is my goal to help youths learn how they can achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle so I offer special rates for parents who bring their children in to train. my Teen Boot Camp is a class tailored to get teens active in fun and exciting ways. I provide great training in ways that teens will enjoy.

Also, three other personal trainers and I are teaming up with Goa Wellness to do a Redding’s biggest Loser Competition. Registration for the event will begin on Feb. 14 at Goa Wellness, (1740 Eureka Way) and the contest will begin March 1 and last for six weeks.”

Who is your target client/customer base? I focus on those who have been struggling with weight loss and are looking for a great way to lose weight and get in great shape.
